Exactly the same number (1,170) of £1m+ properties were sold in August as in July, according to the latest set of Price Paid data from the Land Registry. The combined value of these million-plus homes was, however, a touch lower in August: £2.09bn compared to July’s £2.24bn. That £2.09bn from 1,170 sales accounted for just 1.5% of the month’s total housing transaction volume, but 10.8% of the value (£19.41bn), up from 9.9% in July.
