PCL agency W.A.Ellis has reported a beefy 50% leap in the number of tenancies it agreed last year (compared to 2012), although rents only increased by 2.8% overall (0.4% less than than in 2012). As for 2014, a 3% rise has appeared in the tea leaves.
The team has been making some interesting observations on the increasing seasonality of the PCL lettings market too; it’s all about April to October these days, apparently, when properties tend go like the hottest of cakes. Get the timing wrong though and you could be left – quite literally – staring into the void…
