The UK edition of Hearst’s ELLE Decoration is branching out, launching an interiors Style Consultancy that it says is “set to revolutionise the world of commercial property development”.
Knight Dragon Developments, the mastermind behind the 150-acre mixed-use redevelopment of Greenwich Peninsula, has signed up as ED Style Consultancy’s first client. Greenwich Peninsula (pictured at the bottom) will, once completed, deliver 15,720 new homes and a whole new district twice the size of Soho set along a 1.6-mile stretch of the River Thames. Knight Dragon is a Hong Kong-based investment vehicle owned by Dr. Henry Cheng Kar-Shun; it won full approval for its Allies & Morrison-designed Greenwich Peninsula scheme in September last year.
The Style Consultancy team, led by ED’s Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director Michelle Ogundehin (pictured), has re-configured, designed, decorated and furnished the flagship penthouse in Knight Dragon’s marketing pavilion “in a look that encapsulates the essence of the magazine’s core style”.
Michelle Ogundehin, Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of ELLE Decoration: “Formalising a commercial service arm of ELLE Decoration was the logical next step, and one I’m very excited about. We’re in the unique position, as an international media brand, of additionally being able to amplify the looks we create and the projects we work on through the pages of the magazine. The creative possibilities are endless!”
