Last year’s public consultation into the route and options for Crossrail 2 (CX2) – the Chelsea-to-Hackney line – has thrown up a new option for the location of the Chelsea station. The de facto position was that the station would be around the current Fire Station building on the King’s Road, but locals have pointed out that putting it further West would probably be more beneficial to a wider area. And so there’s another consultation.
