The transformation of 5.5 acres of land by Victoria Station – billed as “the capital’s most exciting master-planned mixed use scheme in decades” – looks to be gathering pace.
According to Building Magazine, Land Securities has just awarded its £250m “Victoria Circle” job to the contractor Mace (who popped The Shard up last year), with completion expected between 2016 and 2018.
Bordered by Victoria Street, Bressenden Place and Buckingham Palace Road, the development will cover a whopping 910,000 square feet, with plans for 200 new apartments (across 166,765 square feet), 604,000 square feet of office space and 91,000 square feet of retail, cafes and restaurants.
