2013 marked a turning point for many prime second home markets around the globe, according to the latest research from Savills.
It’s all been about the cities for the last five years, says the firm in its Spotlight on Prime Residential Retreats report, but ‘getaway’ locations will be the ones to watch for the next five. The turnaround looks to be down to increased liquidity in the market, prime cities becoming ‘fully valued’ and all those ‘golden visas’ being dished out to prime purchasers in places like Antigua and Cyprus.
