Letting agents could get more due diligence duties

HM Treasury’s consultation into amendments of the Fourth Money Laundering Directive – a suite of proposals brought forward by the EU to combat the funding of terrorism in the wake of 2015’s Paris attacks – is now live and includes a batch of proposals aimed specifically at estate agents and letting agents.
