I read recently that if the cost of a pint of milk had appreciated at the same rate as house prices, we would all be paying about £10 for a pinta. However expensive prime central London appears to us, though, it looks like an absolute bargain for most foreigners. Last year it was reported that thanks to currency movements Malaysian buyers have seen 18% discount on London property since 2008. Singaporeans have seen a 22% discount and the Chinese benefit from a 24% discount.
