London isn’t the only place having a tough time of it. Comparing the first half of 2016 to the same period in 2015, US-based luxury real estate agency Leslie J Garfield reports that the number of townhouse transactions in NYC declined from 217 to 177, total sales dropped from $2.1 billion to $1.4 billion, the average price per foot slipped from $1,530 to $1,409, and the average sales price saw a reduction from $9.7m to $8.1m.
