Specialised Knowledge

Because we do nothing else we are specialists in preparing Reinstatement Cost Assessments. The directors have worked within the wider insurance industry, these include Loss adjusting, as a Lloyds broker and risk management within multi-national insurance companies – their surveying knowledge is applied within the broader insurance context. This broader approach is disseminated through constant coaching and regular training of all staff.

Martyn Barrett was the only chartered surveyor on the RICS working group panel for the 2011 Reinstatement cost assessments of building 2nd edition, guidance note, who also holds the ACII and FCILA qualifications.

BCH are consultants to BCIS, the RICS’ Building Cost Information Service, the leading provider of cost information to the construction industry and other interested parties.

Every building is valued by consideration of its elemental makeup and its specific location and site conditions. Therefore no 2 valuations leave our office with the same rate per metre. Every building is unique and every assessment is unique.

Our business administration is centred at our office in Warwickshire. Our network of regional valuation surveyors provides us with flexibility to respond to client needs. With many years experience, our team includes chartered surveyors, chartered loss adjusters and other professionally qualified individuals, all having the benefit of local knowledge.
